Louisa Reardon, a 14-year-old student at DuPont Manual High School, is always eager to learn and explore new things. Whether it’s playing piano, trying new foods, or traveling to different countries, she embraces every opportunity with curiosity and dedication.

Louisa is part of DuPont Manual's Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) piano program, where she spends time each day improving her skills. She first played piano as a child but became more serious about it in seventh grade. She enjoys the challenge of learning new pieces and practicing daily to get better. Earning a spot in the YPAS program has been a rewarding experience that allows her to grow as a musician.

In addition to piano, Louisa stays active in the art club and Best Buddies Club, a volunteer group focused on inclusion and friendship. Outside school, she enjoys tennis, skiing, cooking, and baking. She’s always been a foodie and loves discovering new restaurants. At home, she enjoys spending time with her parents, her older brother Micah (17), her younger sister Vivian (13), and their dog, Fiona. In addition to her piano practice, she also finds time in the afternoons and weekends to enjoy her hobbies and be with family and friends.

Louisa has always had a love for food and travel. She has been fortunate to visit 20 countries across three continents, where she enjoys trying local dishes and experiencing new cultures. One of her favorite trips was to Colombia in 2023, where she explored Cartagena, visited the islands, and tasted delicious foods like arroz con coco (coconut rice) and fried arepas. Most recently, she traveled to Costa Rica with a school group from Anchorage, adding another memorable experience to her list.

Louisa looks up to her parents, Paige and Eric, who have always encouraged her to try new things and do her best. In the future, she hopes to become a speech pathologist, a career where she can continue learning and helping others.
