Putting Down Roots: Brittany Gentry’s Journey to Celebree School of East Louisville
A military family’s adventure leads to a passion for community, education, and early childhood development.

Brittany Gentry and her family have always been on the move. Originally from Versailles, Kentucky, Brittany’s life took her all over the country as she followed her husband’s military career. After years of moving from one duty station to another, the Gentry family is finally putting down roots back in Kentucky, ready to embrace the next chapter of their journey.
As a family of five, along with two dogs, the Gentrys have spent the past decade connecting with new communities and cheering on their kids at sporting and academic events. Their love for board games, dog walks, and local explorations has only strengthened their bond. But Brittany's true passion lies in working with youth, fostering creativity, and building meaningful connections.
Before returning to Kentucky, Brittany had worked in classrooms and served on the PTA, always striving to make a positive impact on children and families. When the Gentrys finally settled in their home state, Brittany sat down with Dr. Michael Gentry, her father-in-law, who had recently sold his veterinary practice. Together, they sought a way to continue serving their community. It was then that they discovered Celebree School—a place that aligned perfectly with their values and passions.
“We knew it was the right fit,” Brittany says. “Celebree’s commitment to community, preparing students for kindergarten, and enhancing social and emotional readiness is exactly what we were looking for.”
Celebree School of East Louisville stands out from other preschools in one key way: its focus on building a strong sense of community. Brittany believes that children thrive in environments that are not only secure but supportive, where relationships between families, educators, staff, and students are nurtured. “At Celebree, we believe every child should feel welcomed and valued from the start,” she says.
This philosophy starts each day with a morning connection where children engage in breathing techniques to center themselves. The creative curriculum encourages exploration, but it’s designed to meet the unique needs of each child. Families are involved at every step, and communication is always open through the School Family Community.
For Brittany, the journey to Celebree has been about more than just a career—it’s about making a lasting, positive impact on the community she now calls home. “I’m so grateful to be part of something that brings people together and helps shape the future of our children,” she says.
Celebree School of East Louisville is more than just a preschool—it’s a place where children learn, grow, and thrive in a community that feels like family.
