On April 14th, the 8th-grade students from Anchorage Public School, accompanied by their chaperone teachers, embarked on an unforgettable journey to the pristine shores of the Emerald Coast, Florida. There, amidst the allure of cerulean waters and the mysteries of marine life, they delved into a five-day expedition. This coastal area boasts one of the world's most unique marine habitats.

Their itinerary brimmed with enriching experiences. Highlights included nighttime beach hikes, bonfires, a pizza picnic, snorkeling at St. Andrews State Park, an educational visit to Gulf World in Panama City to learn about sea turtles and interact with touch tank animals, squid dissection, volunteering at Camp Helen State Park to learn about beach cleanliness, a sea critter scavenger hunt at Grayton Beach, a kayak adventure through distinctive coastal dunes habitats, and more!
