Congratulations, Anchorage Public School's Class of 2024!

Once an Anchor, Always an Anchor!

Thanksgiving Luncheon

In the larger scope of life, 8th grade graduation might not appear significant to some, but on May 23, 2024, the Class of 2024 proudly took the stage at Anchorage Public School. As they strolled through the school's hallways, they were uplifted by the cheers of their younger peers and teachers. For many of these students, their journey at APS began in kindergarten, and we hope the memories and friendships cultivated here will endure. APS served as the backdrop for their athletic endeavors, extracurricular pursuits, memorable events like the K/1 Mini Derby, and impactful fundraisers such as the Halloween Carnival & Haunted House and the Thanksgiving Luncheon. Let's not forget their unforgettable 8th grade trip to the Emerald Coast in Florida. As they embark on their future paths, we wish them nothing but the utmost success, eagerly anticipating their remarkable achievements! Always remember: "Once an Anchor, Always an Anchor!"

"My favorite memory was every Wednesday when my friends and I had book club with Mrs. Bowman and then Mrs. Travis." Rylan Robertson
"My favorite memory of Anchorage was when Mrs. Sloan rode the Voyage with us at Holiday World even though she did not want to. We love you, Mrs. Sloan!!" Molly Cook
"I really loved Pine Mountain and how we got stuck on the side of the road. I also really loved the stories that were shared there." Henry Young
"My favorite memories of all time at Anchorage were definitely the trips to Holiday World. Going on roller coasters and just hanging out with friends outside of school is just awesome. I must say though, the tornado was insanely crazy that one year, but I just remember hanging out with all my friends there in the sunny weather. I'd like to thank all the teachers for giving me this school experience that I will use while in high school. Thank you!" Alex Agurto
"My favorite memory was when all my friends and I were in the same Spanish class. We would always work together and SOMETIMES we would get in trouble. We never did anything bad, but when you're with all your friends you SOMETIMES get off task. It was just fun to be together for a whole period." John Buse
"Thinking back on my 9 years at Anchorage, I couldn't have asked for a greater school. My favorite memory throughout the years was Pine Mountain because of how unexpected it was and how much fun I had. I honestly don't know why I like it so much because our bus broke down on the side of the highway for 4 hours and lost all air and power, so we were stuck on a hot, crammed bus with no entertainment. Also, once we did get there and in our rooms, we found a snake in ours. I probably loved it so much because of all the people I got to bond with and the memories I made from it." Sloane Mouser
"My favorite memory at Anchorage was with my 2nd grade teacher getting baby chicks and also going outside to release butterflies we hatched." Emmy Byrne
"My favorite memory from Anchorage is playing on the basketball team." Ibrahim Khan
"My favorite memory is when me and my best friend got to go to Holiday World and we rode Thunderbird 9 times in a row during the field trip." Clare Villaflor
"My favorite memory was when we won the basketball tournament in 5th grade." Max McClure
"My favorite memory was carving pumpkins in Mrs. Kingsbury's class with my best friend and 8th grade buddy." Adam Ison
"My favorite memory at Anchorage was when we went to a freezing cold track meet with hail and rain, and we all huddled under a raincoat to keep us warm. Also another memory was when we went to Holiday World where we had to run all the way across the park to the Christmas gift shop." Suzanna Towery
