Residents Bryan and Robin Dasher Introduce us to Re-englighten

“My wife, Robin, and I  started Re-enlighten out of our home in Ardsely Park and within a few short years ran out of room,” Bryan Dasher, Ardsley Park resident began. “We recently moved into a dedicated workspace on Montgomery Street to better meet our needs and those of our growing clientele.”

A Savannah Native, and a self-proclaimed perfectionist, Byan and his team work to help families with chandelier cleaning, lighting and lamp repair, and custom lighting.

“Robin had a thriving antiques business and needed help with repairs. She looped me into doing work for her and soon made me print business cards so I could have a hobby when I retired,” Bryan laughed.

These days, Re-englighten helps families around Savannah develop and maintain gorgeous lighting elements for their space. Working with the restoration of antique lighting and chandeliers, there are many gorgeous vintage pieces available for purchase in their shop on Montgomery Street. They also travel to homes, museums, and private businesses to clean chandeliers and keep them shining bright.

“There aren't other businesses like us!” laughed Bryan. “We have extensive knowledge of antique lighting and have been privileged to work with premier interior designers and contractors on many historic restoration projects throughout Savannah and the Low Country.”

An advocate and former Board Member of the Buy Local Savannah, Bryan is a yard sale picker and UGA football fan. (Some things never change… Byran and Robin are both native Georgians.) Ardsley Park residents since 2009, the couple truly enjoys collaborating together. Robin worked for years as an antiques dealer, and the couples’ differing strengthscreate a truly unique business model.

When it comes to older items in your home, Bryan had one important point.

“Don't throw it away! So many things can be brought back to their former glory with work and polish.”

Bryan and Robin are shining light and giving new life to so many beautiful pieces in Savannah. For ideas, inspiration, and more information, follow them on Instagram @reenlighten
