Meet Chewy and Molly! Chewy (Chewbacca) is part Wookie, although he sounds more like an

Ewok, and he makes noises when he wants everyone to wake up or help him on to the bed! He

is eleven years old and about ten years ago he was found running down Washington Ave and

darting in and out of traffic before heading down the alley. His now pet parents Elizabeth and

Wes put up posters to try and find his family, but no one claimed him so he has been with them

ever since. His mom and dad said “We hit the jackpot with this little man who was blind in one

eye from a previous injury”.

Molly is eight years old and she was adopted from Coastal Pet Rescue when she was just a

little puppy. She is also a mixed breed but despite her wild fur, she is not part Wookie. Molly is

really smart and she can pick out specific balls or toys on command, and loves to play fetch

inside. Molly can really carry a tune! She learned to sing from her canine brother Forrest, who

raised her from a pup before they lost him to an illness.

Both dogs love Greenies dental treats, they go nuts when they get them and even try to trick

Wes and Elizabeth into giving them doubles. Chewy and Molly’s favorite pastime is to sit in the

windows and talk to everyone walking by while they wait for their mom and dad to come back.

Both pups love the ocean and watching them swim and run into the waves and then rolling

around in the sand at St. Simons is a fond memory for their parents.

Elizabeth and Wes have been in Ardsley for seventeen years and what they love most is the

trees, parks, and that the neighbors all know and look out for each other. Elizabeth said

“Whether you need an egg or cup of sugar for a baking experiment, or need to charge up your

phone during a power outage, you know you can count on your neighbors to jump at the chance

to help. We are so grateful to Happy Tails for taking care of our dogs when we are away or can't

get home during the day to walk them, and Woof Gang for their haircuts and baths!”
