There’s a lot about this couple that makes them a dynamic and successful team. For both Courtney and James Bonney, founders of Rhowe Design + Build, this business is more than a job. Together, they help businesses work to both renovate and construct new buildings. Courtney has a background in architecture, urban design, and preservation while James has a background in civil engineering, project management and owner representation. This allows them to aid clients in multiple aspects of project execution beginning with the initial concept through project completion and move-in. 

“We are a general construction company focused on commercial construction. We specialize in warehouse tenant improvements, commercial new construction, and preservation/rehabilitation. We work for both private clients and municipalities, and for projects of varying sizes, ranging from small-scale preservation to multi-million dollar commercial properties,” explained Courtney. 

In their third year of business, it is truly wonderful to watch Courtney and James blossom as business owners, utilizing one another’s strengths to help clients simplify what can be complicated projects. 

“Our main goals as a business are to provide a high level of expertise through a focus on quality and honesty, as well as to foster strong relationships with both our clients and our strategic partners,” James added. 

Together, the couple are raising three boys, aged 7, 5, and 1, along with their trouble-seeking poodle, Sam. 

“We have met many great neighbors in Savannah because Sam loves to escape and go exploring the neighborhood!” she laughed.
