Finding inspiration isn’t something that John Lilly has struggled with. A Senior at Benedictine Military School, John plays varsity football, basketball, and track. 

 

“I plan to finish my senior year as strongly as possible both athletically and academically, and continue my academics at the University of Georgia,” John said. 

Although he also loves hunting, fishing and all things outdoors, playing football is truly his favorite sport. John first joined a football team at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic School as a 5th grader. After playing a number of positions, loving his time as a quarterback. While attending Benedictine, he again explored a number of spots on the field and has played as tight end, defensive end, and long snapper.

“Tim Tebow inspires me. The way he leads, his inspiring character, and his unwavering faith in our Lord, God are all qualities I hope to obtain,” John said, his humble nature shining through. “My advice to other young athletes would be to go play with the kid down the street. Some of the best sports memories I have are encounters with kids I have never met before, often kids that were older than me. Just finding someone with a similar passion for whatever game it is is something that you and another person can bond over.”

There is no doubt that John Lilly is going places, on and off the field.
