Meet Your Neighbors
Ardsley Park residents Michael Dees and Ron Auriana moved to Savannah 4 years ago from New York City and immediately fell in love with Ardsley Park.

After over 35 years of living in the Big Apple, the couple began looking towards retirement. We both had enjoyed exciting careers in NYC. Mike was the President of ladies' apparel companies Marisa Christina and Joan Vass. Ron was head of Global Architecture and Facilities for Bloomberg International. Our careers offered us the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world, including Europe and Asia.
While exciting to travel so much, seeing other places and cultures helped solidify our decision to retire in the southern United States. When considering our next chapter, Savannah checked all of our boxes!
Retirement has been much more active than we ever imagined. Our home in Ardsley is 75 years old we have made some renovations that exemplify our lifestyle. After several years of updates, we are truly happy to call this house a home. Some of the updates include new bathrooms, lots of paint, and some wallpaper. Our home is almost done – at least on the interior!
Ron works with several clients on interior design and space planning, and we have enjoyed working on the interior design of our home in Savannah. The next item on our list is a large-scale renovation of our backyard with a new courtyard and pool.
These days, I work as a docent at Mercer Williams House. This is the most amazing job meeting people from all over the world and sharing this beautiful home and its history. Mercer House is a major draw to Savannah and I love sharing it with many tourists.
Although we had planned on living a slower-paced lift in Savannah, that hasn’t happened. We are busier than ever!
Two years ago we added Ferris, a.k.a. Bueller our family. He is a wonderful honey-colored Mini Goldendoodle and has become the center of our universe. Walking Ferris around the neighborhood has opened new doors for us. If you ever want to know your neighbors…. Get a pup!
We have enjoyed meeting many people in Savannah. This past winter, we hosted our second annual Christmas party with close to 100 people in attendance.
When we have some spare time, we enjoy biking and walking all over town. Many of our friends have visited us here in Savannah and we enjoy playing tour guide. We love to entertain and have small dinner parties quite often. And of course, we love the restaurants in Savannah!
It is a great time to be in Savannah with much new growth and many new things to experience… There’s never a dull moment!
