Introducing Tessa Jones

“I’ve been active my whole life, but became more interested in running when we moved to Savannah 14 years ago.  The running community in Savannah is something truly special,” began Tessa Jones. “The community and accountability you can find running the streets of our beautiful city is something we are truly blessed with. I began running with Fleet Feet Savannah when I moved here, and I've never looked back.  The Fleet Feet store and running programs have continued to fuel my love for the sport over the years.”

Tessa and her family truly love their life in Ardsley Park.

“I'm married to my best friend, and we have a 9-year-old daughter, Emerson, and 6-year-old son, Merritt,” she explained.

A Group Fitness Instructor at The Collective Savannah, Teresa is an RRCA Certified Run Coach and owner of Craving Pavement. This program provides online run coaching for athletes of all levels.

Tessa wasn’t always a fan of group fitness. When Emerson was born, she found that the fitness community gave her a sense of purpose and provided her with both the physical support and emotional and social she needed as a new mom.

Tessa added, “It's incredibly intimidating to try something new or make a change that may be uncomfortable for a bit, but the long-term reward is worth the risk.  If it's worth doing, it's going to make you nervous.”

This tenacious mindset and the support of her family is surely why Tessa is such a Fit & Fierce woman.

“My go-to mantra is always ‘You've got what it takes, but it will take everything you've got.’  Be all-in, and the community that's waiting for you is life-changing!”
