Rather than just drilling in swings and shots, TPC Potomac's junior athletes learn golf fundamentals by playing golf games. In addition to learning the fundamentals of the swing itself, the emphasis also is on the values that come with playing this complicated and sometimes frustrating game -- honesty, sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, judgment, courtesy, perseverance, and integrity.

Javier or “Javi” Murphy – a pure Havanese puppy -- was born near Philadelphia in October of 2013 and came to live with John, Diane, and Catlin Murphy about six weeks later. Since then, he has become one of the most loved members of the family, both to the Murphys as well as to all he meets in his frequent walks throughout Avenel.
