Charlie's Early Years
A Family's Journey with Puppy Charlie the Cavapoo
Since 2012, our family has been in the heart of our beloved neighborhood and loves the small town inside a big city vibe that Balcones brings. Our community can't be beat. With each passing year, we have cherished raising our boys here!
One cherished addition to our family came in the form of Charlie, a delightful Cavapoo blend of poodle and King Charles Cavalier spaniel. Adopted at 8 weeks old and now 10 months old, Charlie quickly became an integral part of our lives, particularly bonding with our youngest, Everett. As a first-time pet for our family, Charlie's intelligence and eagerness to please drew us to love him from the start.
The choice of his name, Charlie, was a nod to his King Charles heritage, a name chosen by Everett for its endearing quality. But beneath his charming exterior lies a mischievous streak that never fails to keep us on our toes. Charlie's penchant for playful antics, especially his favorite game of "chase," often finds us in amusing predicaments, reminding us of the joy he brings.
Yet, amidst his playful nature, Charlie possesses a remarkable talent for walking on his hind legs, a sight that never fails to elicit laughter in our home. His love for peanut butter knows no bounds, transforming any moment into a delightful sight to see as he eagerly indulges in his favorite treat.
Among Charlie's favorite pastimes are car rides, where his boundless enthusiasm brings cheer to our mornings. His excitement at the mere mention of a ride is infectious, filling the air with joyous anticipation. He also loves walks on the old golf course, where he'll see his fellow canine friend, Finn, a golden retriever who holds a special place in his heart.
As we look forward to new adventures, including his first beach trip to Cinnamon Shores, we're reminded of the joy and companionship Charlie has brought into our lives. He's not just a pet; he's family, a cherished member of our neighborhood community, and we're grateful for every moment spent in his delightful company.
