The Story of Berkeley Hogg...
Now try to stop me!
Basketball Winter 2024
Once upon a time, Berkeley, now a 9-year-old 4-sport enthusiast, was known for his fierce resistance to participating in teeball (weeball) and basketball games. As a 4-year-old, Berks was an active little rugrat who dashed around the house with his blonde fro and sly smile, chasing around his older sister Chloe. The problem was, when it came to the games, he refused to get off the bench! His parents, optimistic yet befuddled, would gently nudge him to join his teammates, but Berks’ strategy was simple: no way bro (cue the tears).
Fast forward to today, and you’d think someone swapped him out for a clone. Berks is now a whirlwind of energy, tearing across fields and courts, juggling footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, and baseballs as if he’s got four extra limbs. His love for sports (practices AND games), being coachable, playing with friends and finding the joy in competition, has become a major part of who he is, outside of the classroom.
Berkeley’s parents can barely keep up with his 24-7 schedule, as he’s constantly moving from one practice to the next. From the kid who would have to be carried up and down the basketball court to the one we can no longer slow down; we are proud of the young man he’s becoming and lessons he’s learning along the way.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
