Pet’s name(s): Stella and Frankie

 

How did you get your pet? We got Stella as a puppy. We chose her for all the good qualities that golden doodles tend to have, and she has them all! She is friendly, social, always happy, and doesn’t shed. She loves the water and never passes up the opportunity to get wet. Stella unsuccessfully tried to make friends with birds, squirrels, and deer but was largely rejected by all of them. So, we got her a kitten! Frankie and Stella are the best of friends!

 

Is there a story behind its name? Tennessee William’s play, A Streetcar Named Desire, inspired Stella's name. It’s the one where Marlon Brando yells “STELLA”!!!

 

Anything special or unusual about them? Stella dips her paw in the water bowl and always walks away with a wet beard. She can open doors and has her own cat.

 

What do you like best about your pet? Stella is super affectionate and always greets us with enthusiasm. She stays with the pack and happy cries when given a new toy.

 

Any funny stories? One time I was playing with water balloons and Stella ran me over at around 20 mph. Several times she has rolled in the mud and came back looking like Rambo.

 

How spoiled is your pet? She is spoiled rotten. We shower her with love, give her table scraps, and let her on the furniture. She gets long walks on most days. 

 

What else should we know about your pet and how your pet has enriched your family? Because of Stella, we have met many neighbors on the trail and made new friends. We have had countless adventures and endless snuggles.
