Hi, my name is Sophia Ryan and I'm going to introduce you to the sweetest dog in Belterra. Eva (pronounced with a Spanish accent), is our adorable 13-year-old Pit Bull mix. My parents, Eric and Rachel, got her when they were volunteering at the Austin Pets Alive! shelter in 2012. They didn't plan to adopt a dog, but they took her on a walk. While they were sitting on a bench during the walk, she jumped up in between them and stayed there. They knew right then that they had to take her home. It was the right decision, because she's the absolute best family dog. 

A few words to describe our sweet mutt are loving, snuggly, gentle, happy, and loyal.

Along with being the sweetest dog in Belterra, Eva might also be the most spoiled. She has been our only dog for the last nine years, and she gets endless love and attention from our family. In return, we get lots of snuggles and tail wags from our happy girl. Eva's favorite things to do are rest, sunbathe, spend time with me and my brother, Jacob, and follow our dad wherever he goes. Eva loves our whole family, but our dad is definitely her favorite person.

A family-favorite story to tell about Eva happened in 2021 after we had a big family dinner. Our mom was working in the kitchen, and she heard some noises coming from our dining room. She went to check them out and was shocked to see Eva standing on our dining room table helping herself to the leftovers that she found. Mom rushed to get her phone and snapped a picture. This is definitely one of our favorite pictures of Eva and it always makes us laugh.

I'm so happy that my parents adopted Eva. She's been the best dog, and she brings so much joy to our family. I hope you enjoyed learning about our sweet girl.
