Chex Party & Kids Mix!
Before you start opening the cereal boxes, melt together:
3 sticks of butter 2 teaspoons of diced onion or powder
1-2 garlic cloves, minced dash of Worchester sauce (optional)
*Stir the above ingredients and let set for 1-2 hours. Do not strain!
In a large bowl, mix together:
½ box Corn Chex cereal ½ box Rice Chex cereal
½ box Wheat Chex cereal ½ box Cheerios cereal
½ box Kix Cereal ½ bag of small pretzels

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
2. Mix cereals together and spread them evenly between 2 roaster pans.
3. Take the butter mix and strain it over the cereal mixes, leaving the solids out to throw away. Mix the until the butter coats the cereals.
4. Bake at 200 degrees for 2 hours, stirring the mixture every 20 minutes, so it doesn’t burn. At 1-1/2 hrs. through the baking, stir in 1 large container of salted nuts and a ½ jar of peanuts, split it between the 2 pans.
Tip: This makes a huge bowl of Party Mix. It will turn out better if you bake one pan at a time. It’s also fun to make with the kids.
Roasted Rosemary Cashews
1-1/4 lb cashews, salted
2 Tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
½ teaspoon cayenne powder
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons Kosher salt
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat oven to 375. Place nuts on an ungreased baking sheet and bake about 10 minutes until warmed through. Combine the rosemary, cayenne, sugar, salt and butter in a large bowl. Toss the warm nuts with the rosemary mixture until the nuts are completely coated. Serve warm.
