What Does God Say About You?
You Are Loved
God’s Word tells us we are loved. No matter what we do or have done, we are loved. One of my favorite scriptures tells us, He not only loves us but he rejoices over us with gladness!
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1
God’s Word tells us, “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight” (Ephesians 1:4).
Before the earth was formed, God chose you. He knew what your life would look like (Psalm 139:16), who you would be (Jeremiah 1:5), and He made you, you.
You Are a Masterpiece
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10).
You were created for a purpose and a plan. God has a purpose specifically for you, and He made you for that role. He could do it all Himself but he wanted to involve us in His plans and purposes. He gave you specific passions and interests for His purpose. What is it that ignites your heart? What do you dream about and get excited about? Those things could be part of the purpose God designed you for.
“For You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14).
You Are Forgiven
We all fall short. We all have baggage, pain, hurt, and have sinned. None of us are perfect and thankfully we do not have to be. God’s word says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
“In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” Ephesians 1:7.
Jesus overcame the power of sin and death when He rose victorious from the grave.
“... Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:25b-27
God loves you. He created you. He has a purpose for you. And He forgives you. He is loving and desires a close relationship with each of us! How blessed are we?
