Hello Bentwater!
Hello Bentwater!
Good grief, what a rainy, wet mess April and May were! Let’s hope our summer is more conducive to outdoor activities.
I’m happy to report that things are proceeding with the project to enhance our access control. As I am writing this, equipment is in place and being tested. Our team is working on the software piece, and you all should be receiving instructions for the next steps soon, maybe even before you read this. There are lots of moving parts, but everything is going the way we planned.
By now you all have gotten your annual assessment statements. Again, this year there is no increase. That’s due to a commitment to conservative spending by the Board and the prudent management of your money by a professional staff who takes it very seriously. And in case you didn’t know, all the financials are posted on the POA website every month. If you have any questions, let us know.
Street parking has been an issue lately, and I need everyone to be aware. Twice recently there have been instances where an emergency vehicle had trouble getting to a house because of cars parked on both sides of the street. Please take notice of this issue and park in your garage. If your garage is full of vehicles, park in the driveway. If your garage is full of something other than vehicles, clean it out so you can park vehicles in it. Bentwater streets were not designed for vehicles to be parked all along the curb. That’s why the deed restrictions require that garages be available to park vehicles at all times. And something you probably don’t know, our Entrance Greeters hand out a flyer (in both English and Spanish) to every contractor and yard crew that comes through, directing them not to park opposite another vehicle. It doesn’t always work, but we’re trying.
Finally, if you’re having trouble getting a vehicle registered for access, don’t hesitate to give us a call. The form is on the website, but we can help here in the office, too. Remember that you must attach a current insurance card for the vehicle.
