The Davie Women’s Auxiliary, known simply as “The Auxiliary,” is a new but rapidly growing community group dedicated to making a positive impact in Davie County. Since its formation, the organization has hosted several engaging meetings and events, each blending fun with meaningful service and education.

One of The Auxiliary’s recent highlights was the February Soup-er Bowl, a gathering that was both enjoyable and informative. Members contributed delicious homemade soups for everyone to sample, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The event featured an inspiring talk by Gladys Scott, who shared the remarkable impact of Pearls of Empowerment on the lives of women and children in Davie County. The Auxiliary’s commitment to service and community enrichment was evident throughout the event, making it a memorable occasion for all who attended.

Looking ahead, The Auxiliary has an exciting calendar filled with opportunities for both fellowship and service. The March 19 meeting will begin with a group lunch at Restaurant 101 in Mocksville, followed by an afternoon of volunteer work at A Storehouse for Jesus, an organization dedicated to helping those in need.

In May, The Auxiliary will host its annual Geranium Sales at the ReStore in Bermuda Quay on May 6, just in time for Mother’s Day. This fundraiser will not only provide beautiful flowers for local families but also support the group’s ongoing community initiatives.

With plenty of upcoming activities planned, The Auxiliary welcomes all women in the community who are interested in making a difference. Whether through service projects, fundraising efforts, or simply connecting with like-minded individuals, The Auxiliary provides a meaningful way to get involved.
