Cleveland Hardwood Solutions

Erik Livas grew up in Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University where he graduated with a degree in exercise science before moving to Phoenix for 11 years. After he started working in his field of study, he transitioned into insurance and began investing in real estate. During that time he managed his own rentals and did the majority of the work, which really enhanced his passion for working with his hands.

Erik returned to Ohio at the end of 2019 and started a family with his now wife, Malissa Ayers, who is the mother of his 4-year old son, Zeke, and his 2-year old daughter, Leila.

After moving back to Cleveland he met Nick Tadsen through a mutual friend, after seeking out help with foundation repairs on a rental he owned. Erik would hire Nick to do other jobs he didn't have the expertise or time to complete, and they eventually fostered a friendship as they had several things in common.

Fast forward a couple of years, and Nick and Erik would complete a floor together, and that was the beginning of the discussions about how they could provide outstanding quality, great customer service, give back to the community and have more time to spend with their children, which led to what is now Cleveland Hardwood Solutions.

Cleveland Hardwood Solutions installs and finishes solid hardwood flooring, installs refinished and engineered hardwood flooring, refinishes existing hardwood floors, hardwood floor maintenance, installs luxury vinyl plank, laminate, and composite flooring.

"What sets us apart is that we strive for quality no matter the size or cost of the job, we are always seeking out industry training to improve our work product, and our number one goal is customer satisfaction," said Erik.

Erik and Nick also do their part for the community. They offer carpentry and/or handyman/contractor services to help out local non-profits, and they also donate to a local non-profit every quarter.

As for upcoming projects, they are excited as their schedule for the remainder of the year is filling up, but what is most exciting for them is that they have a project where they'll be working with a designer to come up with a "one of a kind"  floor for a customer.

"Our future goals are to build a team while maintaining quality and a high level of customer service. We'd also like to spur interest in the trade by getting the younger generation involved," said Erik.
