The Lewis family absolutely love their summer home in Bratenahl. This is their fifth year with their beautiful lake house and they cherish every moment spent here.

Colleen and Jared reside here for the summers with their children Sebastian, 7-years old, and Leonardo, 5- years old. Colleen grew up in the Cleveland area, but the Lewis family currently live in Houston,TX for most of the year. 

“This is our summer home and we absolutely love it,” said Colleen. “It's like a little pocket of tranquility for us.”

Although Colleen grew up in the area, she ended up going to college in Florida and eventually making a move to New York where she met her husband Jared. Colleen is currently a stay at home mom and the owner of an interior design company called CDL Decor..

“Jared works from home as an oil broker and he told me ‘I think we have to move to Houston,’ so we packed up and we've been there for ten years,” said Colleen. “We love Houston but the summers are pretty brutal. Once I had Sebastian, I really wanted to be closer to family and really loved the idea of being on the water. Once we saw this plot of land we decided to build a house!”

The Lewis family’s home is on Lake Harbour Court overlooking the lake.

“It's the best thing ever to wake up and just see water every morning,” she said. “When we’re home we all love to sit on the back porch and watch the sunset together. We always love to invite friends over for some sunset cocktails as well.”

Sebastian and Leonardo also make the best out of the summers here. They are both very much into sports and love going to sailing camp in the summer. Colleen and Jared love watching them sail on dinghys all by themselves. They learn all about how to drive and steer them.

The Lewis’s also have a boat at Shoreby that they take out on the weekends.

Whether it's to swim, go on the boat, or just watch the sunset, the Lewis’s love to host their friends and family. 

“I feel that this is how summer should be,” said Colleen.
