Dave says, "I was attending Mississippi State University and Sally was at MSCW (MUW now). Sally was a "rush girl" for Sigma Chi and I was a Sigma Chi. I had been noticing Sally for a good while and we struck up a friendship, starting with her helping me get dates with her friends. Then I got up enough courage to ask her on a date. I was hooked. We got engaged at the Sigma Chi Sweetheart Ball our senior year and married on August 16, 1969 - The day before Hurricane Camille hit the Gulf Coast! That's a story for another day!"
