Meet Kona
The Dunkle family – Dave, Amy, Evan and Reese – decided to get a dog during the pandemic.
They found Kona, a 2-year-old male Cavapoo, and he has quickly become a much-loved member of the family!
How did you find your pet?
We researched smart, shedless dogs and found him through Puppies By Design.
How/why did you decide to get your pet?
I gave in during the pandemic. We thought it was a great way to teach responsibility to the kids.
Is there a story behind your pet’s name?
We wanted a name that we all could relate to. Our favorite vacation spot is Hawaii and we love coffee!
Does your pet have any special talents?
He runs to the door when he hears our Life360 go off.
Is there anything unusual/unique about your pet?
He loves to sit up high (on the back of the couch, on the car console, etc.). You won’t ever catch him sitting on the floor!
What do you like best about your pet/pet ownership?
We love that he has the best demeanor. He loves people and has never met a stranger.
Do you have any funny or heartwarming stories about your pet you would like to share?
If you give someone a hug, he gets jealous and barks.
How spoiled is your pet?
Well, he sleeps on the pillows in our bed. His favorite “occasional” treats are Puppuccinos and chicken nuggets.
How has your pet enriched the life of your family?
He puts everyone in a good mood when they walk in the door. He is always there to greet you.
