The WCCE Couples Chili Cook-Off Brings Fun and Flavor to Chateau Elan

On October 24th, the Women's Club of Chateau Elan hosted a fabulous Couples Chili Cook-Off at the Paugh home on Mountain Oak Drive. With perfect weather and a festive atmosphere, the event was a fantastic success. The backyard was beautifully adorned with outdoor string lights, and tables were decorated with charming fall accents, setting the perfect scene for an evening of camaraderie and delicious food.

Over 75 people gathered to enjoy the festivities, which included 15 chili entries from couples in the neighborhood. Other guests brought a variety of cornbreads and desserts to share. The air was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and the unmistakable aroma of simmering chili pots.

After much tasting and deliberation, the top prize for Best Chili was awarded to Melba Peidrahita for her outstanding spicy sausage chili recipe. Congratulations to Melba on taking home the coveted title and prize!

A special thank you goes out to Carol Carson and Mindy Pajak for assisting Leigh Ann Paugh in hosting the event. And of course, a big thank you to everyone who helped with the breakdown of the event—it wouldn't have been possible without your support.
