Colleton River Charitable fund raised a record $417,540
No club has more heart than Colleton River! Thanks to the generosity of Colleton River Members, we not only met our goal of $350,000 in donations for 2023 … we exceeded it by over $67,500.
"We invest in the Colleton River Charitable Fund as a way to support the local community and those who support us.” - Jim and Marjy Humphrey
Every dollar you donate stays local. Colleton River Charitable Fund supports over 40 nonprofits in our community. These exceptional organizations work tirelessly to provide support and services to thousands of Bluffton-area families in need.
Our focus is on hunger, housing, health and education. The power of caring. It puts food on the table for families who would otherwise go hungry. It provides shelter to those without a home. It helps children get the education they need to succeed. The grants awarded by the Colleton River Charitable Fund make such a difference to so many!
“We want to give young underprivileged people a chance to improve their lot in life. It is almost impossible to do without food, books, education, and some family financial stability.” - Rick and Linda Petracca
Hunger. No child (or any member of our community!) should ever go hungry.
Organizations like BackPack Buddies of Bluffton & Hardeeville and
Bluffton Community Soup Kitchen is a lifeline for those who have so little.
Over $$88,000 in grants were awarded to combat hunger in 2023.
Housing. Everyone deserves to live in a safe and comfortable home. Organizations like Family Promise and The Deep Well Project work to make that a reality for our neighbors in need. Over $28,000 in grants were made in 2023 to end homelessness and support livable housing.
Health. Up to 20% of our neighbors cannot afford health insurance. Organizations like Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine and Pregnancy Center and Clinic of the Lowcountry are dedicated to giving everyone access to quality health care. Over $48,000 in grants were awarded to fund health care in 2023.
Education. Learning is key to breaking the generational cycle of poverty. The after-school learning programs offered by Neighborhood Outreach Connection and Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton are focused on creating brighter futures … one child at a time. The benefits organizations like these provide through our financial support (almost $100,00 in 2023) are priceless!
“If our donation can help alleviate some of the stress and uncertainty felt in our community, then we give gladly and wholeheartedly!" - Don and Kim Thompson
