Is there a story behind how you got your name?
My AKC name is ‘Jersey’s Heaven Sent Sadie Girl’. Jersey, my predecessor, was born in Hamburg Germany. I am the fourth female yellow lab my parents have owned over their 39 years of marriage.
How did you find your humans?
My Mom and sister Emily visited several breeders in New Jersey/New York and ended up finding me just a few miles from our home in Long Valley, NJ.
Tell us about your personality:
I can tell time - I like to eat at 7am and 5pm, if my parents aren’t on the ball I make sure to let them know. One of my favorite activities is riding on the Seadoos with my Dad in the summer up on the St Lawrence River.
What do people, especially your humans, like best about you?
I have been described as being low maintenance and very chill - and I love staying at our Colleton River neighbor’s homes when my parents are away because I love being spoiled.
Any funny stories to tell:
I am usually very well-behaved and am not allowed on the furniture. Last year, when there was a crew at the house washing windows, my Mom asked the guys if I bothered them while she was out playing tennis and they replied " Not at all she just slept on the couch the whole time" - busted!
Anything else you'd like to share?
I love to see all of the neighbors walking by my house when I am in the front yard. Since we live on the 18th hole on the Dye course I have learned to be courteous and not bark when the golfers are teeing off behind my house. But if you acknowledge me, I may come out for a quick pet and to say hello!
