Owners, Wayne and Racquel have been involved in the construction business their whole 37 years of their married life. From building housing developments in the 80s from the ground up to owning a building supply business, Wayne has had extensive experience in the industry. 

Moving here in 2013 from Connecticut with 3 kids and 2 grandkids, Wayne started working doing small repair jobs for homeowners and Realtors around the Bluffton area. Before long they had 2 crews doing remolding and repairs. Since then, they have expanded into Roofing and seamless gutters. 

The roofing business now has two locations one in Hardeeville SC and one in Richmond Hill GA. Whipple offers Asphalt, Metal, Synthetic, and flat roof installs. Whipple also offers repairs, inspections, and tune-ups on all types of roofs.

Last year a large tree smashed through a home in Belfair, destroying the back half of the roof. Wayne was there with his crew at 1 am in the morning cutting the tree off the roof so we could tarp it.  When it comes to insurance claims no one works harder to advocate for our customers. In the above example, Wayne personally met with the Insurance adjuster to work out the details of the claim. Within one month, the property was completely restored.

When a new hire is brought on, they are taught "The Whipple Way" which means, Always be honest and fair and do what you say you're going to do. Wayne named his company Whipple Roofing because he felt it's a name he is proud of. And although the company continues to grow, Wayne tells his salesmen that the customer can "call me anytime."

When not working Wayne and Racquel like spending time with their family and camping out. They just bought a class B motorhome and are loving it. The oldest daughter Joanna married Scott Brown whose parents are Scott and Kim Brown residents of Colleton River. Their wedding was held at the Colleton River Country Club. The Ladies club was hosting a 60's night at the Club and found out that Racquel was a former Opryland performer and had her perform at the event. The ladies had a great time.
