My name is Corey Gibson, and I am a full-time photographer in Bluffton, South Carolina.  I have lived here since 2014 with my wife, Cristy Gibson. I specialize in portrait and architectural photography.  I have 4 kids.  My son and daughter Isaac (20) and Irene (18) live in Seattle, WA, and my twin stepsons (16) Carter who lives with us, and Riley who lives in Reno, NV.

I was born in Newcastle, Wyoming and grew up in the great state of Wyoming.  As a teenager, I worked summers on a cattle ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska where I spent a lot of time on horseback and tractors.   I moved to Colorado in 1994 where I started a career as an EMT in 1996 and a law enforcement career in 1997 in Morgan County, Colorado. I worked full-time as a sheriff’s deputy for 17 years and a part-time medic for 14 years at the Morgan County Ambulance Service.  While at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, I was on the SWAT team for 13 years as a medic/entry team member, and I was a K9 officer for 7 years.  While I was about 10 years into my career, I realized I needed to start formulating an exit plan.  I had a lot of creative energy, and I learned photography was a perfect outlet for that.   I moved to Seattle, Washington in 2012 where I began my journey into photography.  While living in Seattle, I was able to learn the craft of photography.  I moved back to Colorado in 2013 where I started getting paid for photography shoots.  In 2014, I met my wife, Cristy Gibson in an online photography group and I traveled to South Carolina where she lived so we could hang out and take photos together.  The rest is history and subsequently, Cristy and I married, and I moved to Bluffton, SC. My last 4 years in law enforcement were as a corporal with the southern enforcement division of Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, and I was able to build my business to the point where I could resign and do photography full-time in 2018.  Cristy helps with photography sessions and sometimes will step up as a second shooter for sessions. Cristy also handles the virtual staging and complex Photoshop requests.

A sampling of my clients includes real estate agents, home builders, vacation rental companies, VRBO owners, renovation companies, and many more.  My photography has been featured in numerous publications including local magazines, Cottages and Bungalows and Architectural Digest.  My work has also been featured on Bravo TV and HGTV.  I am licensed with the FAA as a drone pilot, and aerial photography and video is a huge part of my business.  We also offer 360 tours with floor plans, virtual staging, and portraiture such as headshots, team photos, and family photos.  I have traveled by request of a client to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH to photograph lakefront homes twice, and I have traveled to Charleston, SC for numerous shoots and as far away as Colorado.

 

When I’m not concentrating on the business, I enjoy hanging out with my family, gardening, firearms training, boating, and fishing.

   

CGibson Photography LLC specializes in architectural/real estate photography, 360 tours, videos, aerial photography, and portrait photography.  I utilize flash-ambient blending for my interior photography and I do all my own photography and video editing.   My main service area is Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Beaufort, Jasper County and Savannah/Tybee Island. I am a Part 107 FAA licensed drone pilot.  I would love to work with you!
