I am Nicholas Welliver, Founder and President of Hilton Head Landscapes, LLC. I started Hilton Head Landscapes (HHL) in 2009 while I was attending USCB for my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.  I decided to stay in school for a couple more years, while operating Hilton Head Landscapes, to complete my Bachelors of Science in Marketing as well. I met my beautiful wife, Megan, while attending USCB. She is a Registered Nurse who is currently working in Bluffton as a home health care nurse. We live in Bluffton with our (3) Shiba Inu dogs.

Hilton Head Landscapes was originally just a college business that allowed me to have flexible working hours so that I could continue to pursue my degrees. For many years, I worked in the field, on landscape projects during the day and took night classes at USCB as often as I could. HHL started to grow faster than I expected so I began to hire friends and family to help me service all of our clients. My Brother, Aaron Welliver & sister Caroline Welliver helped me build HHL into a multi-million dollar business in the early years. They now operate Elevator Lift Systems and Palmetto Security Systems, respectively.

HHL’s success is attributable to our team members. We have employees that have worked together for over 25 years. We train our staff to communicate effectively because it is the most important part of what we do. We utilize technology such as SingleOps CRM software, PROLandscape design software and Company Cam software to enhance our ability to communicate with our clients. We have partnered with a 3D rendering landscape architect that gives us the ability to produce realistic images of the landscape prior to installation.

Our Colleton River Team Leader, Evan Hernandez, has been instrumental in the success of HHL. He began his career at HHL as a crewman in our Enhancements division and we immediately recognized his talent. He has worked his way up to Maintenance Account Manager. Logan Heisler-Enhancement Manager and Pascual Guerrero- CRC Crew Leader have also exceeded our expectations in a short amount of time. These 3 guys, along with our crewman, have been able to transform Colleton River Club’s landscape over the past year. I am very proud of what they have been able to accomplish, with the resources that we have. 

We are proud of the work that we have completed with the Town of Hilton Head & The Town of Bluffton, including the landscape of the Town of Bluffton Town Hall as well as developing Wright Family Park. We have also installed many World Class residential landscapes in Colleton River, Sea Pines, Palmetto Bluff, Berkeley Hall, Spring Island, etc. 

At HHL we have sponsored many golf tournaments that have raised money for charities. These include the BJWSA CAPA Golf Tournament, The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Tournament in Long Cove, and the Colleton River Collegiate Charity Tournament. We were one of the title sponsors for the Colleton River Collegiate Charity Golf tournament in 2023. We also support many Chamber of Commerce Events, Home Builders Association Events, and the Professional Women in Building Association. 

I want to sincerely thank the entire membership for the opportunity to manage, and care for, the landscape of Colleton River Club. We have enjoyed working with the Colleton River team over the past year and look forward to maintaining the landscape of Colleton River Club for many more years to come. We are also grateful for the opportunity to care for over 100 member’s homes in Colleton River. We look forward to continuing to develop relationships with each and every one of our clients. 

On a separate note, I wanted to provide some feedback on your team that worked on my property.  Wes and the team did an incredible job and truly transformed the property. I have owned many homes and worked with a lot of landscape companies on various projects but I have to say this was the best experience I've had by far. Rico and his crew were very polite and respectful and meticulous in their work. Wes was by far the best I've ever worked with in this space. He was very professional, paid a lot of attention to the details and most impressive, his follow up was extraordinary. He responded to any question and/or request I had in minutes if not seconds which is rare, especially now a days. I'm sure you're already aware but he is an incredible representative of your company.
