This Neighborhood Event Was Fun for Everyone!
What a beautiful night we had at the Sip and Shop event on May 25 at Vivid Hue Home & Gifts boutique with residents from the Devonwood neighborhood.
Vivid Hue started as a home decor blog by Heather, a local Farmington resident who believed everyone could use a dose of color in their lives. The blog inspired Heather to open a shop in Farmington. The first store was located in a small cottage on Farmington Avenue, and she later expanded to a larger space a few doors down. The store is located at 769 Farmington Ave. and is open 10-3 daily except Sunday. You can order online as they ship daily or pick it up at the store, and they will have your package beautifully wrapped and ready to go.
The shop offers unique home decor and colorful gifts for all ages and occasions. Styles include Boho Chic, Chinoiserie, Equestrian, Nautical, Palm Beach and Cheeky, just to name a few. Some of the items the shop offers are dresses, handbags, PJs, wraps, decor and kids' gifts; there is something for everyone!
The new summer dresses, jewelry and hats were a big hit at the event, and those who attended received a 20% discount on their purchase. Everyone went home happy and with an armful of packages.
Make sure you stop by for a visit – look for the hot pink door with the Nantucket blue awnings!
In addition to some great shopping, we also had Jill Siegel from One Hope Winery serving some delicious wine. One Hope winery offers an outstanding roster of wines and an opportunity for people and businesses to assist nonprofits and charitable causes through the simple act of buying a bottle of wine.
For this event, 10% of the proceeds went to the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping giant mixed-breed dogs in need. Be sure to reach out to Jill to learn more (jill.siegel2186@gmail.com).
