Great food, great friends and great conversation. It all added up to a wonderful evening out for our Devonwood residents and Stroll Devonwood business partners at Toro Loco Mezcaloteca in Farmington. After an awesome inaugural visit to Toro Loco last spring, our Devonwood neighbors made a return trip to the local restaurant on Sept. 29, and the sequel was just as memorable and enjoyable.

It is hard not to have a great time when the staff at a restaurant like Toro Loco is so accommodating and welcoming. Residents and sponsors were given white glove treatment all evening, and Toro Loco's kitchen staff prepared an extensive spread of tasty Mexican and Spanish-inspired samplers. Toro Loco uses the freshest ingredients for its small plates and proudly sources ingredients from the local farming community.

The night featured a fun raffle with some great prizes, including a beautiful gift basket courtesy of Baskets and Bows in Avon, as well as a generous $50 gift card courtesy of Toro Loco.

To paraphrase Toro Loco's website — visiting the casual restaurant is akin to going to your abuela's house on a Sunday afternoon. No pressure, no stress and a chance to relax among family and friends and enjoy good company, food and drink. Yup, that sounds about right.
