My Leap of Faith: Building a Sanctuary for Health and Healing
Marissa with daughter, Lily-James
I grew up in Easton and currently live in Foxboro with my daughter, Lily-James, who brings endless joy and magic to my life, my 11-year-old Boxer, Maya, and two cats, Jax and Miss Helen.
My path to where I am today was shaped by a variety of influences. I come from an entrepreneurial family, so the drive to build something of my own has always been in my blood. My father owned Christy’s Market, and I grew up surrounded by the mindset that owning a business, while challenging, was incredibly rewarding. However, early on, I was encouraged to take a more stable career path due to the risks involved in starting a business. This led me to various roles that were fulfilling on paper but left me feeling burned out and disconnected from my true passion.
Another major influence was my early exposure to illness. In 1992, my older sister passed away from a rare brain cancer, which deeply impacted how I view healthcare and wellness. Since then, I've been driven to inspire others to prioritize their health
I started my career at State Street after earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont. Feeling unfulfilled, I went back to school for a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. From there, I started a career in pharmaceutical consulting, where I focused on oncology. I was gaining experience in healthcare, but I still felt a strong pull toward creating something that aligned with my true passion for wellness.
In 2021, I took a leap of faith, leaving my job to bring my vision of a wellness sanctuary to life. Revival opened its doors in Medfield in August 2023, offering people access to services, products, and a community designed to help them become the most vibrant version of themselves—inside and out. My commitment is to remain at the forefront of health optimization. Currently, Revival features cutting-edge wellness technologies like the BallancerPro, Red Light Therapy, Infrared Sauna, and NanoVi. It's a place where people can pause, focus on their well-being, and leave feeling truly revitalized
When I’m not at Revival or spending time with my daughter, you’ll find me by the ocean, in the mountains, or lost in a good book.
I’ll end with this: your health is an investment, not an expense. Prioritizing your wellness now is essential—if you don’t, you will end up paying for it later.
