Congratulations Reese Evanecky! We are so proud of you

Reese Evanecky recently graduated from Polk State Collegiate High School and Polk State College earning both her high school diploma and associate degree at the age of 18. Reese is self-driven and motivated to achieve as she balanced two degrees, honor roll, community service for the National Honor Society, competitive and high school swimming, and a lifeguard position for the City of Lakeland. Reese‘s pride and joy came from swimming for the Lakeland High School swim team. She was able to train and compete for a sport she is so passionate about, leading her to achieving district and regional qualifier at the end of her senior year.  Reese has been actively involved in leadership and community programs which include Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club Head Assistant, Top Buttons Volunteer, and VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) Volunteer. When she is not volunteering she working as a Lakeland City Lifeguard which includes responsibilities like enforcing safety, conducting rescues, administering first aid, and teaching swimming lessons. Reese considers this job to be a preview of some skills she will later utilize when she begins her nursing studies in the fall. Florida Gulf Coast University is where Reese will be studying nursing. After college, she plans to be a pediatric nurse and serve patients with care and compassion.  Reese prides herself in building relationships and setting high expectations so that she will continue on this path to success.
