Natchez boasts a remarkable list of historic homes and landmarks. The classic architecture of mansions like Longwood is a must-see for visitors. Many of these homes are available for tours. 

The Mississippi River gives the state its name, and the bluffs overlooking the river in Natchez are one of the best views of this iconic waterway. Visitors can get an amazing look along the walkway in Bluff Park.

Dating back to the 8th century, the Natchez Indians were early inhabitants of the land that is now Mississippi. The Grand Village site contains exhibits about their life and culture, a nature trail, and three traditional pre-contact earthwork mounds.
