Meet Lindsey L. Vandevier, Owner & Lead Designer of Rosaspina Floral & Event Design. Lindsey hails from Cleveland, OH, but has called NJ home since 2018. In 2021, she and her husband settled into their first home in Bloomfield, having previously resided in an apartment above the florist shop. Her roots in creativity run deep, with her parents teaching art and design at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Lindsey's artistic lineage traces back to her grandmother, who attended art school, instilling a rich artistic heritage.

From a young age, Lindsey explored various artistic avenues, from ballet to local theater, before finding her niche in costume and set design. After earning her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University, she honed her skills as a freelance theater designer and assistant stylist in NYC. Her pursuit of excellence led her to Carnegie Mellon University for her master's degree.

While Lindsey's background was steeped in theater, her discovery of floral design opened new creative vistas. Embracing her femininity and love for natural beauty, she found her calling in floral artistry. While dabbling in floral design classes, and after only one week of sunlit days, working with her hands and creating soft, feminine, tangible art, there was no doubt in Lindsey’s mind that she had found her purpose, her art, her creative outlet, and exactly where she belonged. With her passion ignited, Lindsey pursued formal education at Flower School New York, her prior formal education in design making it possible for Lindsey to truly flourish.

A serendipitous opportunity arose when Lindsey's employer contemplated closing shop, presenting Lindsey with a chance to fulfill her entrepreneurial dreams. With a keen eye for aesthetics and a wealth of design expertise, she embarked on the journey of establishing Rosaspina Floral & Event Design in Montclair, finding the perfect location at 74 Church Street, a beautiful, peach colored, Victorian building.

Rosaspina distinguishes itself by crafting artfully whimsical floral arrangements using unique blooms in lush, compact designs. Using fresh flowers delivered daily and eschewing common fillers, Lindsey and her team aim to create bespoke floral artistry, elevating each piece to a singular expression of elegance and beauty.

At Rosaspina, meticulous attention to detail permeates every aspect of the business, from packaging to customer interactions, ensuring each creation is meticulously crafted. Lindsey extends her gratitude to the Essex Fells community for their warm embrace, fostering Rosaspina's growth and enabling them to pursue their passion.
