Meet Lynx, the Friendly Bengal-Tortoise Cat of the Pacella Family

Since moving to Forest Hills in 2017, Deanna Pacella and her family have enjoyed the community, wildlife, and friendly neighbors. Their home became even warmer and more lively last December when they welcomed a new addition—Lynx, a part-Bengal, part-Tortoiseshell cat with a big heart and a social personality.
Lynx’s journey to the Pacella family has a sweet backstory. Deanna reconnected with her high school friend, Erin, after seeing a post about a lovable kitty in need of a home. Lynx had been spending time at Erin’s, but her two senior cats weren’t ready to share their space. Realizing they lived nearby, Deanna and Erin arranged for Lynx to join the Pacella family the day after Christmas, and he has been a cherished family member ever since.
Lynx is quite the neighborhood Greeter! He’s often spotted Strolling around the driveway, welcoming anyone passing by, even those with dogs. His friendly demeanor has made him a favorite in the community, and he’s never shy to chat with anyone who’ll listen. At home, Lynx is adored by all, including his animal siblings: Truman, the Pacellas’ Old English Sheepdog, and Ford, his feline brother. His vocal nature keeps everyone engaged, and he brings out the best in each of his family members. The Pacellas are grateful to Erin for introducing them to Lynx. He’s a true joy in their lives, though they do admit, “If only we could get him to pose for a family photo!”
