The Voskuhl Sisters Daisy and Shayne come from a long line of phenomenal athletes at every level. Daisy, who's 6'3 and Shayne at 5'11, makes them standout in a crowd on more ways than one. They grew up watching their older sisters compete and excel at a sport they soon fell in love with themselves...Volleyball. Currently one of the fastest growing sports in the country, Women's Volleyball has added two more impressive athletes to it's roster. Meet Fulshear Creeks Athlete of the Month, Daisy and Shayne Voskuhl. 

Q: What school do you attend and what grade are you in? 

Daisy: Fulshear High School 10th grade (sophomore)

Shayne: Fulshear High School 9th grade (freshman)

Q: What sports do you play and how long have you been playing? 

Daisy: I play Volleyball for Fulshear's Varsity team and I play club for Texas One 16U.  I've been playing for 4.5 years

Shayne: I played for Fulshear's freshman team and club volleyball for Texas One I've been playing for 4 years now.

Q: What positions do you play? 

Daisy: I'm a 6'3 Right Side hitter.

Shayne: I'm a 5'11 Middle Blocker and I love it!

Q: What do you enjoy most when playing your favorite sport? 

Daisy: I loved watching my older sister play, and that's what made me interested. I enjoy the excitement and competitiveness of the sport.

Shayne: I enjoy cheering my team mates on when they succeed during plays. 

Q: Who do you have to thank for helping you get there? 

Daisy: I thank my family, my sisters, but most of all my parents for being so supportive.

Shayne: I thank God for all of my success in volleyball.

Q: If you were to continue playing volleyball, what do you hope to accomplish?

Daisy: I want to continue to grow as a player and eventually play Division 1.

Q: What advice do you have for others looking to get into your chosen sport? 

Shayne: For anyone who is looking to play volleyball I would suggest trying every position. That way you can determine the spot you love. 

Q: What are your favorite colleges you love to attend once you graduate?

Daisy: Baylor, Oregon, Nebraska, University of Texas, Tennessee, University of Florida, UCLA, Arizona State

Shayne: Baylor, Stanford, Princeton, University of Florida, Michigan

Both sisters have had an amazing year at Fulshear High School Daisy's varsity team went all the way to State and are currently ranked 3rd in the state of Texas. Shayne's Fulshear High School's Freshman team went the entire season undefeated to only lose in the Championship game. This was her first school loss since her 7th grade at Leaman Junior High.
