“I was licensed in late 2011,” says Karen. “Prior to that, I worked in the publishing industry for a very large educational publisher for a few years before working for a local publishing company. Once I had two children, I needed to stop traveling.”

With a desire for a more flexible lifestyle that would allow her to be present for her growing family, Karen transitioned into real estate, initially with the intention of investing in properties for house flipping and rentals. Little did she know that this would become a full-time career.

“I started working for other clients than myself and my career took off from there,” she

explains. Karen went on to get her broker’s license in 2018 as her real estate skyrocketed.

“What I like about real estate is that I can have a job where I can control my destiny,” says Karen. She enjoys the freedom to work as much or as little as she desires, knowing that the results are a direct reflection of her efforts.

However, Karen quickly realized that to truly excel in the industry and provide the highest level of service to her clients, she needed a stellar team by her side. In 2015, she started a team, which became solidified in 2021. The Karen Eagle Group at Elite Sotheby's International Realty goes above and beyond to serve their clients.

“Everyone has a specific job on my team,” explains Karen. “Someone is on call 24/7, but it’s not always me. It’s worked out really well. We handle a tremendous amount of volume but don’t have the degree of burnout as a single REALTOR® working 24/7.”

Karen's expertise and integrity have earned her a sterling reputation in the industry, with the majority of her business stemming from referrals. Whether guiding clients through the intricacies of buying or selling a home or navigating complex negotiations, Karen's calm demeanor and unwavering professionalism shine through, ensuring a smooth and successful outcome for her clients.

“I’ve sold a lot of real estate in Gates Mills,” says Karen. “It’s one of my favorite places with great people and great housing stock.” She calls it “one of the most beautiful places in Northeast Ohio.” Breathtaking sunsets and an occasional water view make it a sought-after place to live.

When Karen isn’t working, it’s all about family for this Top Producer. She has been married for 34 years to Frank Eagle, who is from Solon, Ohio. Karen hails from Warren, Ohio. She jokes, “I didn’t plan on spending my entire life in Ohio, but here I am. My husband is very close to his family and we wanted to be near them.”

They are blessed with two children, Blake (28) and Bennett (25). Blake earned an

undergraduate degree in Biology from Ohio State, followed by a master’s degree in Anatomy and Physiology from Case Western Reserve University. Now he works in medical device sales with Stryker and resides in Ohio City.

Bennett is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford. After completing ROTC, he joined the Navy, and was commissioned as a Junior Officer at graduation. This June, he will become an instrument qualified pilot able to fly helicopters and airplanes, also known as “getting his wings.” Bennett is stationed in Pensacola, Florida.

To relax, Karen enjoys tennis, pickleball, and the occasional game of paddleball. An avid reader, she also enjoys traveling when she can. “I love summertime in Cleveland, and spend as much time outside as possible,” she adds.

Reflecting on her career, Karen expresses gratitude for the relationships she's built and the fascinating people she's met along the way.

“I like what I do,” she smiles. “I like building relationships with people and meeting new people every day.” Real estate has helped her to connect with others and meet people from all walks of life.
