Live Gloriously!

“I want to enhance the quality of people’s lives so that they enjoy life more,” says Lyndy Rutkowski. “You know that company, Life is Good? I like to say, Life is Glorious! There are simple things you can do to improve your life so you can live in abundance.”
Lyndy Rutkowski, a Gates Mills resident, is a passionate entrepreneur and mindfulness coach who has dedicated her career to helping individuals and organizations live to their fullest potential. Over the past five years, she has built a thriving business that offers a holistic approach to wellness, combining personal coaching, yoga, and energy healing.
A Holistic Approach to Coaching and Wellness
Lyndy’s services are designed to guide clients through various aspects of life, focusing on personal or professional transitions.
“I spent 20 years of my career working in advanced energy,” explains Lyndy. “I worked in a lot of fields in male-dominated industries. Sometimes, I was the only female on a team.” She learned how to navigate different situations with resilience and grace. Through her experience, she now coaches women in technical fields, a demographic she understands well.
Her coaching credentials include a certification from Case Western Reserve University, where she also earned her MBA. During her time at Case, Lyndy worked on leadership development and sustainability projects for major corporations.
After leaving a successful career in corporate leadership, Lyndy took a leap into entrepreneurship, something she now describes as a blessing. “I wouldn’t have left a good job like that on my own, but my career took an unexpected turn and so I dove into this work, and it’s been amazing,” she reflects. After all, with every closed door is an open window, often one that leads to something better.
Lyndy provides mindfulness coaching to individuals and corporations, helping clients develop strategies for managing stress, improving focus, and enhancing overall well-being. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to live an abundant, fulfilling life—sometimes they just need the tools and support to get there.
“It’s amazing to meet people, help them see life differently, and open their eyes to opportunities they couldn’t see when they were in the midst of it all,” she says.
The Power of Yoga and Mindfulness
Yoga has played a significant role in Lyndy's life. “I’ve been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching yoga for a decade,” she explains. “I specialize in restorative yoga.”
Her classes emphasize relaxation and meditation, helping clients release stress and tension. Lyndy launched a popular donation-based yoga program in Gates Mills three years ago called “Yoga in the Village” for Gates Mills residents, with sessions every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with a team of seven rotating teachers. The last Saturday of the month is restorative yoga, complete with guided meditation and soundbath. She also teaches chair yoga for elderly clients who need a gentler approach and offers private yoga sessions at her home or clients’ residences.
“I also teach at Flow Yoga in Mayfield Village,” she shares. Expect a sound bath at the end of class with quartz crystal bowls, chimes and different instruments.
Restorative yoga has become a central part of her teaching practice and is a joy for Lyndy. “Everyone always told me how peaceful they felt around me, so I knew I needed to bring more restorative yoga to the area,” Lyndy explains.
Lyndy also recently introduced evening restorative yoga classes every second Sunday at 7pm, complete with soundbaths, at the Community House in Gates Mills. These sessions offer a serene way for participants to unwind and focus on healing.
Reiki, Aromatherapy, and Creative Offerings
In addition to yoga, Lyndy is a certified Reiki practitioner, offering energy healing services that help clients achieve balance in mind, body, and spirit. She combines Reiki with aromatherapy, using incense and essential oils to create a calming environment during her sessions. The incense bundles she creates are inspired by traditional tribal ceremonies and are available for purchase, along with her handcrafted candles.
Lyndy’s candle-making journey began in Jamaica, where she learned the craft from an esteemed candle designer. Today, she sells her custom-blended soy candles to locals and visitors at studios throughout the village. These candles are a favorite among her yoga clients, who appreciate the peaceful ambiance they create during practice.
Giving Back to the Community
Deeply connected to the village of Gates Mills, Lyndy and her husband are raising two daughters, both students at Gates Mills Elementary. They reside on River Road and love being close to nature.
They are known for their wildflowers outside their home, which bloom and blossom for all to see. The wildflower meadow, planted by her husband five years ago, allows passersby to take flowers in exchange for donations. At the end of the season, Lyndy’s daughters use the funds raised to take a special trip to Yellow Springs, Ohio, where they visit their favorite bookstore to pick out new treasures.
Sustainability and Mindful Living

Lyndy’s personal values are reflected in her family’s lifestyle. They are committed to living sustainably, driving hybrid cars, eating organic, and growing some of their own food. They also compost and strive to maintain a low environmental impact.
Lyndy explains that her passion for the environment goes back to her college days when she designed her own degree in environmental education (which would now be sustainability) at a private liberal arts school. She spent her junior year studying at the University of Western Australia and backpacked through Asia and Western Australia, even working in Aboriginal communities before transitioning into social work and environmental advocacy. This experience has made her who she is today.
