Garden Club Biennial Garden Tour

The Gates Mills Garden Club is sponsoring its biennial Garden Tour of six private, exclusive gardens and the club’s privately owned property on June 21 and 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Tour will be held rain or shine and admission tickets are good for both days. Gardens selected for the Tour vary from year to year. 

Attendees will have three ticket options from which to choose:
1.  A Tour Only ticket is $25 (advance sale) or $30 at the door.

-2. A Tour & Lunch ticket is $65 and includes an exceptional buffet luncheon at the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club with salmon, grilled chicken, soup, dessert, and beverage. This ticket option is only available Friday, June 21.

-3. A Grand Tour ticket is $150 and includes an exceptional buffet luncheon at the
Chagrin Valley Hunt Club with salmon, grilled chicken, soup, dessert, and beverage. Transportation to all gardens via mini-motor coach is included along with a private guided tour of the gardens and admission to a special Bonus Garden. This ticket option is only available Friday, June 21.

All Tour tickets admit attendees to the gardens on both days for viewing gardens,
shopping, and listening to special presentations. The garden club’s barn will be filled
with vendors selling a vast array of gardening related items, plants, and a Raffle with a
wide variety of unique items and gift certificates. Attendees will be able to watch an
acclaimed en plein air artist, Betsi Morris, at work in the gardens. All attendees will also 
receive a complimentary raffle ticket with a chance to win an assortment of garden-
related items.

Noelle Akin, Horticulturist and Director of Communication for Pettiti Garden Centers, will
present a demonstration on designing sun and shade patio containers on Friday, June 21 at 11:00 a.m. Attendees can also attend an historical discussion, “A Brief History of
Esquire’s Cottage, the Oldest House on its Original Foundation in Gates Mills” on
Saturday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. Both special presentations are included in all ticket
options and will be held at the club’s private property. Refreshments will be provided.

Event Chairs, Jane Thornburgh and Jane Lindmark, have worked for months to
assemble a range of exquisite gardens with a variety of unique features. Attendees will
see spectacular mature gardens filled with scores of perennials that bloom throughout
the season. They will also enjoy a woodland stroll through a shade garden brimming
with varying plant textures. Throughout the gardens, attendees will see a wide range of
hardscape and softscapes.

must be received by June 14 or until tickets are sold out.
