Welcome to Stroll Glen Oaks!

I would love to introduce myself in person to all of you, but this will have to be where we start. My name is Maria Mears, and I am proud to be your publisher of Stroll Glen Oaks. My husband, Robb, and I have lived just next door in Norton Commons for the last 8 years. We love this area and are so excited to meet some new Glen Oaks friends. Robb and I have been married for 19 years, and while we do not have kiddos, we do have a small zoo of pets we call our children. We share our home with a 1-year-old poodle mix named Clark, four spoiled cats (Brenda, Frida, Georgia, and Lois), one bearded dragon (Lizzo), two frogs (Avocado & Toast), one Hamster (Lenore), and one betta fish (Jamie Tartt).

Stroll Glen Oaks, is all about you the residents of Glen Oaks! In these pages, we will feature articles about the kids, pets, families, and homes in the neighborhood. I hope that you enjoy reading the publication as much as I have enjoyed putting it together. Over the next few months, we will be rolling out more new features, new sponsors, and some great events for the neighborhood. Make sure you read the publication each month and follow us on social media because you are not going to want to miss out.

In this first issue, we introduce you to over 40 sponsors, share a story of a Little Stroller (Page ??), learn about The Styer family (Page ??), and make sure to check out the announcement for the Stroll Glen Oaks launch party happening this month (Page??)!

For Stroll Glen Oaks to grow I need all of your awesome ideas and referrals. Guess what...we have a referral program! Anyone who sends me a referral to a company and that company partners up with Stroll will receive a $100 gift card to a local business of your choice! The best part is that there is no limit on how much you can earn!

Also, if you own your own business and would like to talk about gaining more exposure in your neighborhood, give me a call. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime, I enjoy hearing from you all! I would love to hear what you think about the first issue or share an idea. Send me a message today to Maria.mears@strollmag.com or scan the QR code to connect with me or submit a story. We are going to have a lot of fun, and I cannot wait to meet you all. See you all around the neighborhood!
