Trunk or Treat at The Windmills

A Spooky Success!

This year’s Trunk or Treat event brought together families from all over the neighborhood for a safe, fun-filled evening of Halloween excitement. Nearly 50 booths and vehicles lined the green, offering candy, games, and spooky displays to delighted children in costumes. From tiny superheroes to spooky ghosts, the kids’ creativity and enthusiasm truly brought the Halloween spirit to life!

The Northwest Florida Symphony Mini Orchestra provided live music, which added an extra touch of magic to the event. Their enchanting performance set the perfect mood, blending festive tunes with a few spooky melodies that kept everyone entertained throughout the night.

We’d also like to give a heartfelt thanks to Hammock Bay’s Event Director, Courtney Blackerby, whose exceptional planning made this event possible. And a big shout-out as well to our amazing sponsors and their families: Code 1 Handyman, Mike Carter; Coldwell Banker Realtors, Michelle Thierwechter and Helen Sims; and Spotless Solutions Cleaning Service, Christina Coon! Your creative displays were a highlight of the evening, and your generosity and commitment to the community helped create a fun, safe environment for all the families to enjoy!

The evening came to life with a bit of friendly competition. It all began with the Dog Costume Contest, where Roger, the “Hug Dealer,” charmed the crowd and claimed First Place! Fulfilling his Mayoral duties, Dog Mayor Romeo Wells proudly presented each winner with their prizes. The festivities continued with the Best Halloween Display contest, won by retired-firefighter, Mike Carter of Code 1 Handyman for his creative setup, featuring his vintage firetruck, Belle. At Props, the excitement reached new heights with the Children’s Costume Contest, where the smiles and laughter of the kids lit up the night!

Thanks to everyone’s support, this year’s Trunk or Treat was filled with joy and laughter, creating lasting memories.
