Born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, Amna grew up in a household where love, culture, and tradition were not just values but the very essence of daily life. Her home was a bustling hub of activity, shared not only with her immediate family but also with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and an ever-expanding group of cousins. The walls of her house echoed with laughter, the aroma of traditional dishes, and the comforting warmth of a large, close-knit family.

Living in a joint family profoundly shaped who Amna is today. Her grandparents, in particular, were beacons of respect, kindness, and hard work. Their actions, rather than mere words, instilled these values in her, creating a strong foundation of belonging and support that has guided her through every stage of her life.

Amna’s academic and professional journey began in Pakistan, where her parents’ emphasis on education led her to one of the country's top institutions. She completed a bachelor’s degree in science in 1998, followed by a graduate degree in Communications and Advertising in 2000. This educational background honed her analytical and creative skills, setting the stage for her future endeavors.

The journey from Lahore to Fort Collins was both a personal and professional adventure. After completing her schooling, Amna was eager to explore the world. It was during a visit to the United States in 2001 that she met her future husband. They married in November of that year, and she relocated to Fort Collins shortly thereafter. In 2003, their daughter Ayra was born, who is now pursuing her B.S. at a university in Washington, D.C.

Transitioning from a vibrant, bustling city like Lahore to the quieter, more serene environment of Fort Collins was initially challenging for her. With no family nearby and accustomed to a lively household, the peace of this small town felt starkly different. However, over time, Anma grew to appreciate Fort Collins' unique charm. The friendships she forged here became her new family, and she found herself falling in love with the town's beauty and tranquility.

Inspired by her mother and grandmother, who were both passionate about skincare, Amna was drawn to the beauty industry. Her mother’s holistic approach to beauty and her grandmother’s traditional hair care rituals using natural ingredients left a lasting impression on her. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for skincare, blending traditional wisdom with modern practices. At a young age, she was captivated by the meticulous care her mother took in preparing homemade masques, body scrubs, and hair oils, using simple ingredients from their kitchen pantry. These beauty routines were more than just skin-deep—they were moments of connection and heritage, teaching her the importance of nurturing both the body and soul. This deep-rooted understanding of beauty as a holistic practice laid the foundation for her career in skincare, where she now combines these age-old traditions with modern innovations.

Entering the beauty industry as a professional in 2014, Amna spent a year working at a medical spa before deciding to venture out on her own. In 2019, she opened The Skin Lounge, a boutique skincare studio born from her love for skincare and a desire to provide a personalized and transformative experience. At The Skin Lounge, each treatment is meticulously tailored to individual needs, combining advanced techniques with select products to deliver genuine, lasting results. Here, clients embark on a journey that enhances their natural beauty and focuses on long-term outcomes.

What Amna cherishes most about her work is the joy she sees in her clients' eyes as they experience transformative results. Their positive feedback and satisfaction fuel her passion for what she does. Additionally, she is deeply involved in the community, collaborating with other local, especially women-owned businesses, and supporting organizations like Women Give and the United Way of Larimer County.
