Harmony Pickleballers Connect In Timnath

(l-r) Barb Mulch & Amy Goldstein

The Harmony Club pickleball community recently took the lead in bringing together some of its players with players from other neighborhoods within Timnath. The invitational evening of open play and socializing over food and beverages at Timnath’s Community Park on May 17th helped to gauge interest in organizing a Timnath Pickleball Club.

With Timnath already having 12 pickleball courts throughout town, plus 4 more coming when WildWing Park opens later this year, Timnath has more and better pickleball facilities per capita than any other community in Northern Colorado. The next step is a formal club promoting open play, instruction and competition, as do the existing clubs in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Berthoud.

Harmony pickleball community players and guests participating in this event were Michael and Anne Malone; Eric and Hollyn Engel; Jeff Herrell; Barb Mulch; Brenda Iwamura; Doug and Stephanie Klein; and Phil and Amy Goldstein; Players from Timnath at large were Chris and Deb Johnson from WildWing; Shawn and Francie Pollock from Timnath Ranch; and Pete and Mimi Meyer of Timnath Beerwerks. The Mayor of Timnath, Robert Axmacher, even stopped by to greet ‘Team Timnath’.

The connection of Harmony—where pickleball has been prominently played for eight years—with other Timnath resident players, was organized by Harmony residents Phil and Amy Goldstein. If you’d like to join in their next pickleball in the park, have an interest in a Timnath Pickleball Club or want to learn about upcoming Harmony member-related and Town of Timnath pickleball events, please contact Phil Goldstein, philgoldstein1@gmail.com.
