Brews, Beers, & Bites: A Flavorful Journey of Community and Camaraderie
The beer brewing bunch: The Scotts with Eternity Brewing
Our recent Brews, Beers, & Bites event was an evening of discovery, exceptional brews, and vibrant community spirit. The event was sold out, and it was indeed a fantastic journey of flavor and connection!
Event Highlights:
Craft Beer Workshop:
Timothy Scott of Scott Realty Group and Eternity Brewing led an engaging workshop that took us deep into the world of microbrewing. Attendees learned about the artistry behind crafting unique brews, including the three main steps: mashing, boiling, and fermentation. Timothy’s demonstration was not only informative but also gave us a newfound appreciation for the brewing process.
Beer Sampling:
Guests enjoyed a flight of four distinct beers. Timothy Scott crafted the IPA and Amber, while Eternity Brewing provided the Side Lager and Oatmeal Stout. A fun matchmaking game had everyone guessing the type and adjectives for each beer. Here's a quick guide to the beer profiles we sampled:
- IPA: Fruity, Piney, Bitter
- Amber: Toasty, Nutty, Malty
- Side Lager: Dry, Floral, Earthy
- Oatmeal Stout: Creamy, Roasty, Chocolatey
Delicious Food:
Enzo’s Catering provided a delectable spread that perfectly complemented our beer flights. The menu included Burger Sliders, Sausage & Peppers, Chicken Wings, Soft Pretzels, Orzo Salad, Chips with Salsa & Guacamole, and a beautiful Charcuterie board. The guacamole, in particular, was a crowd favorite! Our wonderful hostess, Gerri Gheesling, also baked delicious cookies that everyone enjoyed, adding a sweet touch to the savory spread.
Karaoke Fun:
After the main event, many guests stuck around for some lively karaoke. With tambourines, bells, and enthusiastic dance moves, it was a fantastic way to end the evening.
Custom Beer Mugs:
As a special treat, our generous sponsor, Scott Realty Group, had custom beer mugs made for all attendees to take home. These personalized mugs were a wonderful keepsake, allowing everyone to remember the evening every time they enjoy a brew at home.
We received incredible feedback and are excited to announce that we will be hosting this event again!
Heartfelt Gratitude:
A special shoutout to our neighbor and attendee, Wendy Van Zegeren, who shared, "We loved tasting the flights of beer and having to identify the adjective that associated with the taste was fun! But as important, meeting neighbors and having great conversations was the icing on the cake! The host and hostess did an outstanding job setting this event up and we’re incredibly hospitable. I feel like I made several new friends! How wonderful is that. My husband was fascinated with the beer making process and we’ll definitely be visiting the Brewery in Howell!"
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event memorable. We look forward to more evenings of camaraderie, discovery, and exceptional brews! Cheers!
