Lemmon Brothers Make Waves

Highland Lakes Family Shines in Competitive Swimming

Swimming has become a family sport for the Lemmon family of Highland Lakes! Brothers Grayson (12), Caden (10), and Jordan (8) splashed into the world of competitive swimming in the summer of 2021, kicking off an exciting adventure as members of Central Ohio Aquatics and The Lakes Swim Team.

While practicing at St. Charles Preparatory Academy and The Lakes Golf & Country Club, the Lemmon boys have worked hard to perfect their strokes. Grayson, a sixth-grader at Genoa Middle School, favors the freestyle, while his brothers, who attend Fouse Elementary, both prefer breaststroke.

Swimming has been a fun activity for the Lemmon brothers. All three boys enjoy hanging out with their teammates during long meet days and competing in relay events.

The sport has taken the family to various high schools and colleges for meets that are typically three days long. The boys’ favorite swimming places are Kenyon College, Miami University, Ohio University, and IUPUI. “Some of the best times are the weekend getaways for swim meets,” the family shares.

Even though they only started swimming competitively three years ago, the brothers have experienced several impressive victories. Grayson and Caden qualified to swim at the Ohio Junior Championships over the summer, where Caden placed third in 100 breaststroke and fourth in 50 breaststroke.

One of the most exciting moments of their swimming careers happened in July. The Lakes Swim Team celebrated an undefeated season and were the league champions for the first time in club history!

We at Stroll Highland Lakes extend our congratulations to all The Lakes Swim Team members and wish the Lemmon brothers continued success in their swimming endeavors.
