What prompted you to be in this position?
I wanted to do something creative, and simple, that would bring happiness to others. I was having lunch with a dear friend and she was the inspiration
behind the concept and design.
Describe what your company does.
Le Phant is about recognizing the importance of relationships in
our lives-friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors. We collaborate with artists and other small businesses to provide a unique selection of carefully curated gifts for giving. In turn, we are creating a network of small businesses that work together and support each other.
What's extraordinary about this business?
Each month, we feature a local artist and showcase their work. It rotates, with Wilkerson Works as our constant proudly featured artist. We donate a quarterly percentage to a small non-profit organization. This quarter we are hoping to make a difference for Cannonball Kids’ cancer Foundation
Given the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to other female business owners?
Do what makes you happy!!!!!!!!!
How did you decide on this industry?
I enjoy creating. I enjoy making people happy and I enjoy supporting others. Gift baskets and flowers seemed like the perfect fit!
What section of town is the business, and does it affect your clientele?
We are currently in the Atlanta area hoping to extend our range!
Where did you grow up?
I am an Atlanta native.
Tell us about your family.
I am a single mother of a wonderful boy. I am lucky to have my parents here for support and encouragement.
What are you most grateful for?
My son. He is the light of my life and my inspiration - to succeed and find joy in every day.
