Wyatt Alford graduated from Marist School this spring and will play football at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). As a junior at Marist, he won the AP Calculus award. In his senior year, he did dual enrollment courses in linear algebra and multivariable calculus at Georgia Tech. Wyatt was a WSB-TV Scholar Athlete of the Week and plans to study aerospace engineering at MIT.

While at the Darlington School in Rome, Katherine Henning was a varsity cheerleader and played varsity soccer. She was also a member of the International Dyslexia Association-GA’s Teen Board. Katherine will attend the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in the fall and hopes to work in advertising.

Westminster Schools graduate Willem Mandel received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for a three-year innovation project with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Willem, who will attend Georgia Tech in the fall, designed and created a custom, 3D-printed Mandalorian costume to use in his volunteer work at the children’s hospital. He plans to study mechanical engineering and will run on the Georgia Tech men’s track team, focusing on the 400 meter and 800 meter races.
