HEAD = Easter Egg Hunts Come to Historic Brookhaven
If you’re looking for a fun Easter activity to share with your children, consider one of the neighborhood Easter Egg hunts. Little Nancy Creek Park (LNCP), which sits across Peachtree Dunwoody Road at the intersection with Winall Down Road, will hold its annual all-ages event on Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. Younger children will hunt for eggs in the LNCP playground area while older children will search down the trail and toward the back of the park.
Check LNCP’s Instagram (@littlenancycreekpark) or website (https://littlenancycreekpark.org/) for more details. And closer to event date, be on the lookout for neighborhood emails and signs at the park.
This year, Club Forest neighborhood will open its egg hunt to residents across Historic Brookhaven. If you’d like to be a part of the hunt, plan to drop two dozen treat-filled eggs off at 1190 Angelo Court the day before. As of Stroll’s print date, the Club Forest board had yet to decide the date and time. For more information, contact neighborhood association president Emily Hyde at emilyashleyhyde@gmail.com. The festivities usually include games followed by the hunt at the upper cul de sac.
HEAD = Time to Register for Camp Kudzu Tennis and Pickleball Tournament at CCC
The second annual Camp Kudzu tennis tournament is coming to the Capital City Club on April 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Resident Karen Riddell is co-chairing the event, which supports Camp Kudzu’s Fund-A-Camper program for youth with Type I diabetes. Lisa Wargo, Lauren Middour, and Helen Smith are part of the tournament host committee.
The tournament is open to tennis and pickleball players of all levels. Players can sign up with a partner or on their own and be matched with someone of the same level. Registration fees are $150 per person. Visit https://www.campkudzu.org/love-is-camp-kudzu-tennis-tournament-2/ to register. The day includes lunch, drinks, and a silent auction.
“The first annual tournament was a real blast and a fun fundraiser for this special camp for kids with Type I diabetes,” says Karen, a Camp Kudzu volunteer whose husband has Type I diabetes.
