Mailbox Brigade Looking for 2025 Chair

The Historic Brookhaven Friends group is looking for a new chair for the annual Mailbox Brigade. The brigade is a neighborhood December holiday tradition during which volunteers decorate mailboxes with fresh greenery and bows. Proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA).

The 2024 brigade was chaired by Justine Regnier and co-chaired by Ashley Campbell. Ashley plans to continue as a co-chair in 2025. In 2024, volunteers decorated 260 mailboxes and raised over $17,500 for CHOA.

If you enjoy volunteering, want to get to know more people in the neighborhood, and make a difference for children, consider chairing the brigade.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and communicate with CHOA and neighborhood on mailbox brigade.
  • Coordinate a bow-making party with neighborhood volunteers.
  • Engage neighbors and encourage participation.
  • Manage logistics for supplies and decorations.

Skills needed:

    •    Strong community spirit and organization.
    •    Great communication to rally neighbors and share the cause.

Why you'll love it:

“It’s a fun way to unite our neighborhood during the holiday season while supporting a great cause and making a real difference for kids in need during Christmas!,” says Justine, who has served as chair for the past four years.
